We are still under snow here in New England. Maybe you are too.
My labradoodle loves the snow. She jumps and spins when it snows. She loves to eat the snowballs that I throw to her. BUT now she's struggling to get through it. It's icy, and she can't maneuver well, especially since she's over 9 years old.
Watching her made me think about struggling. About what struggles I have dealt with in my life that seemed impossible for me to wade through. Impossible to get out of. Impossible to overcome.
For me, it was finances.
In this world of costs going up and up, I bet that you might feel that struggle too.
That struggle to pay the bills. That struggle to figure out how to work 2 or 3 jobs and still be with family.
That struggle with anxiety! How can we pay off that loan? What if our car breaks down and we have nothing in savings? Sometimes it is truly overwhelming. And I've been there.
Out of all the money advice I've received, this one helped me the most.
Build up an emergency fund.
It's not to be touched until a true emergency occurs. The car breaks down. The heater goes out. That's when you use it.
I've put together some ideas for setting up an emergency fund so that when your car breaks down (or whatever the emergency is), you have the money set aside to fix it! At least that will be one less struggle to deal with.
